Ron Blaney (Bomber 26 Sep 2005)

Just After midnight, The Glasshouse branch lost one of it's really active members. Close to his home at 12.30 AM today (26/9) something caused a fatal accident, where he came off towards a tree,. Fun loving, ready for a laugh or a yarn.

He was one of the really cheerful mates you looked forward to meeting up with at our weekly meetings and when going on a ride. Wosh, we'll miss you mate!

JEFFERY JARRATT #8865

Friend of Meg McKeon
Jeff passed away on Friday 1st July at his home. He was a friend of Meg travelling with her to Rallys and also the Farm Fantastic last year and I am sure many of the older members remember him. He did join the Ulysses Club with Meg at Glasshouse Mountains back around 1994
His funeral was held at the Mt. Thompson Crematorium on Thursday 7th July 2005.
Our thoughts go to his 2 brothers and his Dad on their loss

JOE MIKUS #11292
Our members will remember Joe working behind the Bar with his partner Lynette a couple of years ago. He also was a member of the Aero Club. During the time he was with us he & Lynette rode on some of our outings.
He died on 1st July after an accident at work. His funeral was held at the crematorium on Tallowood Dr. Burpengary on Friday 8th July

June 2nd 2005 Glasshouse Mountains Branch said goodbye to another friend Ces Mayes -Fingers, after a long fight with Cancer. He first joined the Ulysses Club around 10 years ago with his mate & fellow worker Martin Vels -Dutchie and on a weekend's ride to Hervey Bay meet up with Caroline -Sheriff a fellow member of Glasshouse Mtns. They married last year.

Even from the beginning of his illness he remained positive that he would beat it. At our last Xmas party Ces was there looking great and feeling great too. He rode on our Toy Run then visited the club a few times since, but the last month or so the disease worsened and Ces passed away peacefully last Saturday evening.

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall softly upon your fields.
Until we meet again
Ride on Ces
